to enter diagnostic mode.

From the diagnostic menu, type

From the Format Flashcard submenu, either enter
ALL
to format all flashcards, or select an individual
flashcard by typing

to confirm that all the flashcards are formatted.

Select the topology and link speed appropriate for your network, and assign a loop ID.
4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each controller port in the system.
