1. If the IBM 2212 is not installed in a rack, continue with step 2. To remove the

IBM 2212 from a rack:

a. Remove the two screws from each side bracket that attach the

rack-mounting brackets to the rack.

b. Put these screws in a safe place.

c. Place the IBM 2212 on a flat surface.

2. Remove the cover of the IBM 2212:

a. There are three screws on each side of the IBM 2212: the screw in the

center helps secure the cover and the two screws at either end secure the
mounting bracket and cover.

If this IBM 2212 is not mounted in a rack, and the mounting brackets and
screws have been removed, you need only remove the screw in the center
on each side. If this IBM 2212 is mounted in a rack, remove the three
screws from each side.
