Using the PXE boot agent utility program
Use the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) boot agent utility program to enable
or disable operating-system wake-up support.
Note:
The server does not support changing the network boot protocol or
specifying the startup order of devices through the PXE boot agent utility program.
Starting the PXE boot agent utility program
To start the PXE boot agent utility program, complete the following steps:
1. Turn on the server.
2. When the initializing prompt,
Initializing Intel (R) Boot Agent Version
X.X.XX PXE 2.0 Build XXX (WfM 2.0)
, is displayed, press Ctrl+S. You have 2
seconds (by default) to press Ctrl+S after the prompt is displayed.
3. To select a choice from the menu, use the arrow keys and press Enter.
4. To change the setting of the selected item, follow the instructions on the screen.
PXE boot agent utility menu choices
The following choices are on the PXE boot agent utility menu:

Network Boot Protocol
PXE
is the default setting. Do not change this setting; the server does not
support any other network boot protocols.
v
Boot Order
The server does not support this choice. Use the
Start Options
choice in the
BIOS configuration utility program to specify the startup sequence.
v
Show setup prompt
Select this choice to enable or disable the PXE setup prompt. When the prompt
is enabled, the prompt
Press Ctrl+S to enter the setup menu
is displayed
under the initializing prompt.
Disable
is the default setting.
v
Setup time wait menu
Select this choice to specify the amount of time (in seconds) that the server will
wait for you press Ctrl+S after the prompt is displayed. You can select 2 (default),
3, 5, or 8 seconds.
Using the LSI Logic Configuration Utility program
Note:
The LSI Logic Configuration Utility program will be available only if an
optional RAID adapter is installed in the server.
Use the LSI Logic Configuration Utility program to configure and manage redundant
array of independent disks (RAID) arrays. Be sure to use the program as described
in this document. Use the LSI Logic Configuration Utility program to perform the
following tasks:

Perform a low-level format of a SCSI hard disk drive
v
View or change SCSI IDs for attached devices
v
Set a SCSI device scan order
v
Set SCSI protocol parameters on SCSI hard disk drives
v
Configure arrays
v
View your RAID configuration and associated devices
