Chain Sharpening
:
Chain File: 3.96mm | Chain Pitch: 9.5mm | Chain Gauge: 1.3mm
Sharpen each cutter using a chain file, regularly to maintain
optimum performance of the saw. This is required at-most when
extra force is required to execute a cut, the cut does not track in a
straight line and increased vibrations.
Always use outward strokes and maintain a 30° angle between the
chain and file. After sharpening, the cutters must all have the
same width and length.
Keep the chain saw clean
. Never use water or chemical cleaners
to clean your tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
Keep the handles free of grease to maintain a firm grip.
The guide bar and chain should be checked and cleaned of saw
chips and dust after each use, clean the groove in the bar and add
oil to the oil holes at the drive sprocket end of the guide bar.
Keep the ventilation vents of the chainsaw clean at all times
, if
possible, prevent foreign matter from entering the vents.
If the chainsaw is not to be used for an extended period of time,
then you should remove the chain oil from the tank. Briefly
immerse the chain and the cutter rail in an oil bath and then wrap
them in oil paper.
Store the chainsaw in a safe and dry place out of the reach of
children with the chain guard fitted, on a flat surface.
