5. Open the gas cartridge holder:
•
pull the safety pin at the back of the i-
gum
®
(Figure 16, pos 1);
•
pull the gas cartridge holder (Figure 16,
pos 4) at the same time.
6. Turn on the gas valve (Figure 16, pos 2) .
7. Close the gas cartridge holder:
•
pull the safety pin at the back of the i-
gum
®
(Figure 16, pos 1);
•
close the gas cartridge holder (Figure 16,
pos 4) at the same time.
8. Turn on the gas valve (Figure 16, pos 2).
9. Take the lance from the holder.
10. Press the ON/OFF button (Figure 17, pos 8) on the handle control.
11. Press the H/M/L multi function button (Figure 17, pos 5).
12. Hold for 5 seconds, this will start the pump.
13. Check the rinse indicator light (Figure 17, pos 4). When the indicator light L is on, the pump runs
in full speed.
14. Release the H/M/L multi function button (Figure 17, pos 5) when rinse indicator light is on.
15. Press the SELF-LOCK button to start the gas flow (Figure 17, pos 8).
CAUTION
The gas will flow as long as this button is locked.
16. Press the IGNITION button (Figure 17, pos 6) for 2 seconds. You can hear the gas heater is burning.
The pump starts.
17. Wait for 20 seconds until steam comes out of the lance. The i-gum® is ready for use.
18. Check the H/M/L indicator light (Figure 17, pos 4). The pump will default operate at low speed (see
6.3.1).
19. Place the brush on the piece of flattened gum.
20. Agitate the brush in circular motion until the gum disintegrates.
21. DO NOT scrub or apply pressure, it is not required and can harm the surface.
22. Replace the lance in the holder and use the broom to sweep the disintegrated gum.
23. Repeat when required.
