6.1.2 Insert the gas cartridges
1. Open the gas cartridge holder:
•
pull the safety pin at the back of the
i-gum
®
(Figure 13, pos 1);
•
pull the gas cartridge holder (Figure 13,
pos 4) at the same time.
2. Make sure the gas valve (Figure 13, pos 2) is
turned off.
3. Install the first gas cartridge:
•
push the cartridge upwards into the first
cartridge slot (Figure 13, pos 3);
•
turn the cartridge clockwise (right) to
tighten it (Figure 13, pos 3).
4. Install the second gas cartridge:
•
push the cartridge upwards into the
second cartridge slot (Figure 13, pos 3);
•
turn the cartridge clockwise (right) to
tighten it (Figure 13, pos 3).
5. Close the gas cartridge holder:
•
pull the safety pin at the back of the the i-
gum
®
(Figure 13, pos 1);
•
close the gas cartridge holder (Figure 13,
pos 4) at the same time.
TIP:
It is not necessary to use two gas cartridges at the same time. The i-gum
®
can operate on a single
cartridge for 4 hours. It can operate on 2 cartridges for 8 hours.
