IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

To adjust the idle speed properly, you need a
engine tachometer. If you do not have one, ask
your HYOSUNG dealer to perform this adjust-
ment.
To maintain a hot, strong spark, keep the plug
free of carbon. Remove carbon from the plug
with a wire or pin, and ajust the gap to
0.6~0.7mm (0.024~0.028 in) for good ignition.
Use a thickness gauge to check the gap.
To install a spark plug, turn it in as
far as possible with your fingers,
then tighten it with a wrench. Do not
overtighten or cross thread the
spark plug, or the aluminum threads
of the cylinder head will be dam-
aged. Do not allow contaminants to
enter the engine through the spark
plug hole when the plug is removed.
CAUTION
Make sure that the engine is fully
warmed up before adjusting the
engine idle speed. Improper adjust-
ment can result in increased engine
wear.
CAUTION
To adjust the idle speed :
1. Start the engine and warm it up.
2. After engine warms up, turn the throttle stop
screw

in or out so that the engine idles at
lowest steady speed.
