Field Bus
This terminal is for a dedicated field bus expansion module. This module is purchased
separately. See the associated user guide for connection details.

Expansion Board Digital Inputs
The optional expansion board digital inputs can be utilised to select a calibration to use with the
connected sensors. This enables the sensors to measure multiple materials without needing to
manually select the calibration. The calibrations are selected using a Binary format. When a
calibration change is requested all data stored in the database, for the selected calibration, is
downloaded to the relevant sensor.
Note: If outdoors cabling for the expansion board is to be used it must be limited to
30 metres or less.
Digital inputs 1-4 are used to select the sensor and inputs 8-15 are utilised to select the
calibration number required. Digital input 0 is used to trigger the calibration change. Inputs 5, 6
and 7 are reserved for future use.
