Using the switching outputs
The two switching outputs delivery pulses that can be counted or utilized in a
superordinate controller.
The function and logic of the signal outputs is parameterizable. You can
select between "active low" and "active high" (factory setting).
Details on setting the switching outputs can be found starting on page 51.
Choose among the following settings for the switching output:
Function - FE.NFE (factory setting)
A signal for all ferromagnetic (Fe) particles is output at switching output 1,
and a signal for all non-ferromagnetic (nFe) particles at switching output 2.
Function

non-ferromagnetic (nFe)
=
2
Function - ALL.RDY
A signal for all ferromagnetic (Fe) particles and all non-ferromagnetic (nFe)
particles is output at switching output 1.
The switching output 2 outputs the "Device Ready" signal indicating
readiness for use.

2
Function - ALARM
A warning is output on switching output 1 for the set threshold. Set the limit
values as stated in the "ALARM – Setting limit values" chapter on page 52.
The switching output 2 outputs the "Device Ready" signal indicating
readiness for use.

Switching logic "active low"
When particles or alarm status are detected, both switching outputs emit an
impulse with a falling edge.
