Removing/installing the suction strainer
Different vacuum pumps are installed in the unit depending on its version.
Proceed as shown in the following figure:
Suction strainer, 300 µm
When disassembling the unit,
remove the suction screen (5a) with
a finger.
When assembling, fit the clean or
the new suction strainer (5a).
Necessary Tools:
None
Suction strainer, 100 µm
To remove the suction screen (5b),
unscrew it counterclockwise.
Check the O-ring (5.2) for damage.
Replace it if necessary.
To assemble, first put the O-ring
(5.2) into the opening and then
screw the suction strainer (5b) in
clockwise.
Necessary Tools:
Depending on the version of the
suction strainer, use a 2 x 16 mm
screwdriver or a 12 mm Allen key
Cleaning the suction strainer
Clean the suction screen, by washing it out and then dry it using compressed
air.
