6.19 Locking the steering
Note
Danger of damage The parked vehicle can roll away or fall over.

Park the vehicle on a firm and level surface.

Park the vehicle.

Turn the handlebar as far as possible to the right.

Grease the steering lock regularly.

Insert the key in the steering lock ( p. 24), turn it to the left,
press it in, and turn it to the right. Remove the key.
Steering is no longer possible.

Never leave the key in the steering lock.

Insert the key in the steering lock ( p. 24), turn it to the left,
pull it out, and turn it to the right. Remove the key.
You can now steer the bike again.
