1. Pull the lock lever in the direction of the handlebar
and hold it in this position.
2. Adjust the handlebar to an applicable operation
height.
3. Release the lock lever to lock the handlebar position
Operation speed
If the product is operated on a new surface type, set
the speed to 70% initially. When the operator knows the
surface type, the speed can be adjusted.
To control the operation direction
During operation, the product can pull to the sides. The
direction of the pull is related to the direction of rotation
of the grinding head and how the product is operated.
• Always keep the 2 wheels on the ground during
operation of the product.
• Apply the side forces on the handle to steer the
product.
• Always hold the handle tightly with 2 hands to stay
stable and make sure that the product does not
move laterally.
To operate the product BMG 780
• Operate the product with the keypad on the
handlebar.
To start the product BMG 780
CAUTION:
Move the product all the
time while you operate the product. If you
do not move the product, the surface can
become rough.
1. Start the dust extractor.
2. Connect the dust extractor hose to the product.

3. Make sure that the electrical enclosure is closed.
4. Connect the product to a power source. Refer to
connect the product to a power source on page 13
.
5. Turn the ON/OFF switch (A) to the right and do a
check of the indicator (B) for the power supply failure
(only for 3x230V version).

6. Stay behind the product and hold the handlebars
with your hands.
7. Attach the cord (A) of the operator presence control
on to your arm or to your clothing.

8. Do a check of the display.
a) Make sure that there are no errors or warnings
b) Make sure that the product status (B) shows
"RDY". If the product status shows "STO",
the emergency stop button is engaged or the
operator presence control is removed.
9. Turn the emergency stop button (C) clockwise
to make sure that the emergency stop button is
disengaged.
10. Push the start button (D).
