Intended Use
The socket welding machine was designed and manufac-
tured for jointing pipes and/or fittings made of thermo-
plastic material by the socket fusion process. It shall be
used only for the materials quoted in its technical specifi-
cations and for components with one of the diameters for
which heating spigots and sockets are included as parts
of the product accessories.
The handwheel used to move both carriages can be re-
moved and replaced with an optionally available adapt-
er that allows controling them with a cordless power
drill/driver. The recommended power tool is a Metabo
Power Maxx B512. Tools for installing the heating spigots
and sockets, for removing the handwheel as well as for
installing the clamps are supplied with the product.
Important
Prior to using the optionally available adapter for
driving the carriage movement with the help of a
cordless power tool, it is indispensable to consult
with the manufaturer or the reseller of the prod-
uct on this use.
Any other use, or the use of tools that are not part of
the product, is deemed unintended use, and any such use
will void any and all warranty and liability assumed by
the manufacturer for the product, including for conse-
quential damage.
