Connecting PAN/TILT/ZOOM 

The HVRM-S400E has most major PTZ protocols already pre-programmed. Makes and models not 

supported can still be controlled using the Transparent Protocol. For a list of supported protocols, refer to 

the list on the OSD Configuration menu. 

Following explains how to connect HVRM-S400E and SPD1800.   

 

5.2.1.

 

Connecting between HVRM-S400E and SPD1800 

 

 

-    Connect COM Port RS-232 of ‘RS-232 to RS-485 Converter’ to COM Port RS-232 of HVRM-S400E. 

-    RS-232 to RS-485 Converter: ADAM-4520 (Data Acquisition Modules) 

-    Refer to www.advantech.com for detailed information. 

-    In case of SPD1800, use ‘RS-232 to RS-485 Converter’ to convert for communication of COM Port RS-232.   

-    Connect Data +, Data- of ‘RS-232 to RS-485 Converter’ to R+, R- of SPD180 (RS-485).
