NSTALLATION
The satellite terminal can be mounted on a pole or flat surface (such as a wall or roof) using the
Fixed Mount Kit accessory. This kit includes all the installation brackets, mounting hardware, tools
and instructions to complete the installation, except for the screws, bolts, etc. required to mount
it to the structure. Proper installation ensures that the terminal is always correctly pointed at the
satellite. The terminal can then be left alone for an extended period of time without having to
be re-pointed or set-up. The Fixed Mount Kit accessory can be re-used to install the terminal in
different locations.
When mounted in a location where access to the terminal may not be straightforward (for
example, mounted high on a wall), you may want the terminal to recover automatically after a
power outage. To permit this, the following automatic mode settings are recommended (see
the Automatic Mode section for more details):
Auto “on” mode is enabled
LED off mode is enabled
Antenna pointing bypass is enabled or Point Once selected
Automatic context activation (ACA) is enabled or Always On context (see M2M page)
SIM PIN entry is disabled
In addition, it is recommended that the battery be removed to prevent it being damaged at
extreme temperatures.

The 9201 can be used unattended in a machine to machine (M2M) scenario, e.g. for SCADA
applications. For this scenario the terminal should be configured as described below. The
parameters described below are only supported on the Web UI.
SETUP Page
:
Bypass Antenna Pointing – Point Once (or On)
Auto Power On: On
This allows the unit to come back on line automatically after a power cycle.

If you need the unit to maintain a PDP context at all times, use the Context Watchdog feature.
Configure one or more IP addresses that can be pinged by the UT over the satellite link. For
example, DNS servers.
Set the time between pings to control the interval at which the UT will check the link. Minimum
value is 5 minutes.
To have the unit automatically set up a context on power up, use the Always on Context option,
or configure ACA from the ACA page. ACA allows multiple terminals to be supported or specific
QoS to be set up based on IP address, etc. However, if you only require a single “always on”
context set Always On Context to On.
If the TE has a known static IP address or never ARPs, enter this address. Alternatively, leave the IP
address blank (0.0.0.0) and the UT will set up a context for the first device it detects through ARP.
The UT will set up the context at startup and reactivate it if it is ever deactivated.
