TRAINING WITH THE TRAINING COMPUTER

The training computer is the ideal aid for effectively setting up your training.
We would recommend you speak with an expert (doctor, trainer) and set out a trai-
ning plan. Your computer will help you to check and adhere to the guidelines. In this
way you can ensure that your training goals are being met efficiently.

Caution: the computer, and particularly the pulse monitor, are no replacement for
medical monitoring.

OPERATING BUTTON:

1. MODE:

Your computer only has one button from which all functions can be selected. An
arrow in the display indicates which function has been selected:

SCAN

With this function, the display changes every 4 seconds
between Time, Speed, Distance, Calories,
Total Distance, Pulse

TIME

The display shows the length of the current training unit

SPEED

The display shows the training speed

DISTANCE

Shows the distance covered in the current training unit

CALORIES

Shows the amount of calories that have been burned

TOTAL DISTANCE    Shows your total training distance
PULSE

Shows your current heart rate

2. RESET:

If you hold the MODE-button down for 3 seconds, the TIME, SPD and CAL values
will be set back to 0.

3. PULSE MEASUREMENT

You can only take your pulse when both hands are holding their respective hand
pulse monitor contacts such that the heels of your hands cover the contacts. The
palms of your hands must be moist in order to carry out the measurement. Sweat
which builds up on the palms of your hands after a few minutes of training will be
enough for this. If the palms of your hands are not absorbing enough sweat, you
can also keep a damp towel on the handlebar in order to moisten the palms of
your hands every few minutes.

4. AUTO ON/OFF

In order to preserve the battery life, the computer will turn itself off after 8 minutes
of inactivity. It will start up again as soon as it detects movement with the equipment.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES:

Place two batteries (mignon AA) into the back of the computer. Ensure that the
batteries are positioned correctly (the related “+” and “-“ poles are printed on the
batteries and in the battery compartment) and that the support springs and batteries
are in contact with each other. If the display cannot be read or if only parts of the
display can be seen, remove the batteries and put them back in again.
Each time you remove the batteries all function values will be set back to zero.

T

TRAINING ON A HOMETRAINER:
CAUTION!

Allow yourself time to familiarise yourself with the trainer and make sure

you are maintaining a good posture. You could damage your health if you don’t
apply the training principles or instructions correctly! Attention, this hometrainer is
not adapted for therapeutic training.

1. Warm up:

Warm up before each training session. Walking or running on the spot

and light stretching exercises are excellent for warming up.

2. Breathing:

Correct breathing plays an important role when exercising. Breathe

calmly and evenly. Never hold your breath while exercising.

3. Clothes and space:

Wear comfortable sports clothing when exercising and ensu-

re that you have enough room around you for carrying out the exercises. Always
wear sports shoes; never exercise in bare feet, sandals, socks or tights.

4.Training tactics:

Do not over-exert yourself and always match your exercises and

the scope of your training to your level of proficiency. Initially begin by exercising for
just a few minutes and slowly build up from week to week.
Always take at least a day‘s break between two exercise sessions. It is fundamental
that you consult your doctor before starting an exercise program..

5. Warm down:

Use light stretching to warm down again after training.

This allows the pulse to drop slowly and allows the body to recover more quickly for
the next session, as the decomposition of metabolic wastes (lactates) is better
achieved through carrying out these movements at the end.

6. Health:

Stop the exercise program immediately if you feel a tightening in your

muscles or any general pain when carrying out the exercises. For your own safety,
please contact a doctor.

STARTING POSITION:

Carefully sit on the home trainer. Make sure the foot straps are positioned correctly.
Initially pedal slowly when starting your exercises. Check that your seat has been set
to the correct height; you can discern this from the position of your legs. If your
knee is slightly bent when in the lowest pedal position, the seat is at the right height.
Please do not adjust the height of the seat while sitting on the home trainer.

HEART RATE TRAINING:

Begin training at a pleasant rate and increase it gradually until you have reached
your desired heart rate. A GP or fitness trainer can tell you what this should be.
Measure your heartbeat while training as often as possible in order to ensure that
you are training at your optimal heart rate.

LEVEL REGULATION:

The pedal resistance can be set with the resistance regulator. A higher resistance
makes it harder to move the pedals, while a lower resistance makes it easier. You
can get the best setting by regulating the resistance while you are operating the
home trainer.t.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

Use a dry or damp cloth only to clean the product; do not use special cleaning agents!
Check the product for damage or traces of wear and tear before and after each use.
Store the product in a safe place where it is protected from the elements, cannot be
damaged, and cannot injure anyone.

HUDORA. Do not make any structural changes.

not be used any more. If in any doubt, please contact our service team

provided in your area. Local waste management companies will be able to answer your
questions on this.
