Basic Programming Commands
The following programming commands can be entered from any touch-tone telephone. Acceptance of
data transfer commands is indicated via a return code transmitted as an audible DTMF tone.
Auto-dial Memory
The Auto-dial S.M.A.R.T. Phone automatically dials a pre-programmed number when the
EMERGENCY
button is pressed. The number is stored in auto-dial memory location

on the
EEPROM. Auto-dial memory storage accommodates up to 24 characters.

The phone returns a system-generated check-digit.
NOTE
Program a single-digit auto-dial number (

) when the phone is installed on a ring-down circuit. Although
the call is generated by the ring-down circuitry, the phone remains in the pre-connection state unless it
detects a number being dialed.
DO NOT
enter a valid phone number or star command when used as a
ring-down phone.
