7 Installing/Routing E1 Cables

Installing a TPA1MQ1 in
slot 1, 12, 13, or 24 is
recommended. An E1 cable
must be routed on the side
of the chassis, without
passing through the cable
tray. If the TPA1MQ1 is
installed in a slot other than
an edge slot, its cables will
pass through a cable try.
Optical fibers must be
routed in the center and E1
cables on either side of the
cable tray.
A TPA1MPA with E1
interfaces supported
must be installed in
slot 1, 12, 13, or 24,
which allows E1 cables
to be routed on the
side of the chassis,
without passing
through the subrack
cable tray.

120-ohm
75-ohm
A black cable is used to connect the 75-ohm 21 x E1 cable to the
connector. Silkscreen on the gray cable is SYFVZP
–MC 75-1-1*42.
A black cable is used to connect the 120-ohm 21 x E1 cable to the
connector. Silkscreen on the gray cable is SEYVP-120 42 x 2 x 0.4.
CAUTION
When TPA1MQ1, TPA1MPA, TPA1EG16, TPA1EG24, TPA2EG24 (EG16,
EG24 boards equipped with electrical modules) cannot be installed in the slot
1, 12, 13, or 24 (edge slot).
