Check whether airplane mode is turned on. If it is, the icon will appear in the status
panel.
Restart your phone.
If the problem persists, contact Huawei technical support or take your phone to an authorized
Huawei service center.
12.25 What is safe mode?
Safe mode function has been added to versions later than Android 4.0. When it is turned on,
the system only loads basic functions or pre-installed applications.
When you install a third-party application on the phone, it will probably fail to power on
because the new application is incompatible with the system. If this occurs, turn on safe mode,
check whether the basic functions of the system are normal, and uninstall incompatible
applications.
12.26 How do I turn on safe mode?

When your phone powers on, press and hold the volume down button to turn on safe
mode.

Press and hold the power button and touch and hold Power off from the displayed
options menu. From the displayed Reboot to safe mode dialog box, touch OK to restart
your phone and enter safe mode.

In safe mode, there will be an indication in the lower left corner on the screen.
Some phone models do not support safe mode.
12.27 What can I do if water enters my phone?
1. If your phone gets wet, do not attempt to turn it on or off.
2. Wipe water from the phone and place it in a highly water-absorbent environment, such
as active carbon, rice, or desiccant for 48 hours.
3. When your phone is dry, try powering it on. If it turns on but some features are not
working (for example, the keyboard doesn't light up or the touchscreen doesn't respond),
it could be due to a hardware fault. Contact Huawei technical support or take your phone
to an authorized Huawei service center.
If your phone comes into contact with liquid, such as coffee, coke, milk, or salt water, take it to an
authorized Huawei service center as soon as possible.
12.28 What are the risks if I reformat my phone?
Reformatting your phone may cause deterioration in performance and some features might
not work properly. As third-party firmware is not adequately tested and may not be
compatible with your phone, your phone may be vulnerable to viruses.
