9.3 Will data be erased if I update my HUAWEI
MediaPad?

Updating your HUAWEI MediaPad using a downloaded update package will erase some data,
such as your accounts, custom settings, installed applications, contacts, messages, email
settings, browser history, and bookmarks, but videos and images you saved on your HUAWEI
MediaPad will not be erased.

Performing the online update on your HUAWEI MediaPad will not erase your data. For
details, see the version description.

To avoid data loss, it is recommended that you back up important data before updating your
HUAWEI MediaPad.

9.4 Will all data be erased if I restore my HUAWEI
MediaPad to its factory settings?

No. Restoring your HUAWEI MediaPad to its factory settings will erase some data, such as
your accounts, custom settings, installed applications, contacts, messages, email settings,
browser history, and bookmarks, but videos and images you saved on your HUAWEI
MediaPad will not be erased.

To remove all files saved on your HUAWEI MediaPad, select

Erase internal storage

when

you restore factory settings.
