Calls and contacts 

5.1 Why does the screen turn off when I put my phone 
near my ear? Why is the screen still off after I move my 
phone away? 

Your phone has a proximity sensor that's installed near the earpiece.   

When your ear or other object triggers the proximity sensor, the screen automatically turns off. 
The screen turns back on when the object blocking the proximity sensor is moved away.   

If the screen is still off after you move your phone away from your ear, make sure the upper 
part of the screen is not blocked by another object.   

5.2 What can I do if the call volume is small or the call 
sound is unclear? 

 

Make calls in places with good reception.   

 

When you are holding the phone, make sure the earpiece is aligned with your ear.   

Do not block the microphone with your finger or other object.   

 

Speak to the microphone within 10 cm away.   

 

Use the Huawei original headset for calls. Other headsets may not be compatible with 
your phone.   

 

During the call, press the volume up button to increase the call volume.   

 

Make calls in a quiet environment.   

Restart your phone or back up important data and restore your phone to its factory settings.   

If the problem persists, contact Huawei technical support or take your phone to an Huawei 
authorized service center.   

5.3 How do I Clear call log?
