PART 9: ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
This water heater is normally wired for 120 volts and shall be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70 (latest
edition).
This water heater must be connected to a grounded, metal, permanent wiring system, or an equipment
grounding conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and connected to the equipment grounding
terminal or lead on the water heater. If any of the original wiring must be replaced, replacement shall be
with 105 degree C wire or equivalent.

PART 10: WATER CONNECTIONS
If sweat fittings are to be used,
DO NOT
apply heat to the nipples on top of the water heater. Sweat the
tubing to the adapter before fitting the adapter to water connections.
DO NOT
apply heat to nipples containing a plastic insert. Heat traps may have been provided in the inlet
and outlet nipples.
DO NOT ATTEMPT
to remove the plastic inserts.
