To enter text using the Phone Keypad

1. 

Start a program that accepts text input.

Start touching keys on the keyboard to enter your text.

3.2  Entering Numbers and Symbols

Switch to the numeric and symbol keyboard to let you easily enter numbers and 

common symbols such as parentheses, braces, currency signs, punctuation marks, 

special characters, and more.

To switch to the numeric and symbol keyboard, touch   on the alphanumeric 

keyboard.
