Removal and replacement procedures 25

4.

Loosen the thumbscrew and remove the VRM module.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Removing and replacing the Synergy 12Gb SAS

Connection Module

1.

Create a backup of OneView.

2.

If one of the following are present, power down all associated compute modules:

a.

Single fabric SAS topology is in use.

b.

SATA drives are present.

3.

Open the release lever.

4.

Remove the module from the frame interconnect bay.

5.

Maintain proper alignment between the storage module and the connection module. For more
