Removal and replacement procedures  23 

Removing and replacing an I/O adapter 

1. 

Open the drive drawer by pressing the drive drawer handle release latch and pulling the drive drawer 

handle until the drawer is fully extended. 

 

2. 

Open the release lever. 

3. 

Remove the failed module from the frame interconnect bay. 

 

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. 

 

Removing and replacing the VRM module
