To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Removing and replacing the hot-plug power supply

Prerequisites

Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-15 Torx screwdriver available.

Procedure

1.

If the server is using a single power supply only, remove all power from the server:

a.

Back up all server data.

b. Power down the server 

.

c.

Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.

2.

Remove the power supply:

a.

Release the power cord from the strain relief strap.
