PC Serial Number

States serial number

Automatically detected if
the original system board
is present, if changed the
serial number will be
blank. It is possible to use
MS-DOS, SETUP and HP
Vectra diagnostics
without it being set. POST
will detect no serial
number as an error.
Follow instructions on
screen to enter the new
number, when completed
this will then appear on
future setup screens.
