Installing Main Memory

The HP Vectra XU is supplied with 8 or 16 MB of memory, depending on the model. It has
eight sockets for main memory modules on the system board. Sockets are grouped into four
banks, labeled A to D. There are two sockets in each bank. Main memory modules can be
installed up to a maximum of 256 MB. 4 MB (D2974A), 8 MB (D2975A), 16 MB (D2297A),
and 32 MB (D2298A) memory modules are available.
