Provide the following information:

Name:
the name that will be used to identify the share in Windows. The B6000
Management Console generates a unique name for you across a couplet. Duplicate share
names are not supported on a couplet.

Description:
a text description of the share (optional)
•
Access Protocol:
Select
CIFS
The
Network Path
is provided by the Management Console in the format:
<IP address>
/
<share name>
.
It is also possible to connect using:
\\<Fully Qualified domain name>\<share name>
.
There is also an option to enable
Write Protection.
This should only be used if you want to
prevent further backup to the share. If you enable it, any backup jobs currently using that
share will fail.
5.
Click
Create
. It will take a few minutes for the status of the new share to go Online.
6.
If using User Authentication, select the share in the Shares list and display the
Permissions
tab, this will show the list of users available on the server who can be assigned access to NAS
target devices. You may amend click
Edit
and permissions for individual NAS target devices.
