If the SDLT drive fails during POST or operation, use Table 15 to determine the
problem and the action to take. Power down the SDLT drive before performing a
corrective action.

The system does not
recognize the SDLT
drive.
The system might not be
configured to see the SCSI
ID.
Configure the system to see
the ID.
The SCSI ID might not be
unique.
Change the SCSI ID and
reconfigure the system. The
new ID is effective at the
next power-on.
The parameters for the
SCSI adapter might be
incorrect.
Check the SCSI adapter
installation and ID
assignment.
The SCSI signal cable
might be loose.
Make sure the connector
on each end of the cable is
seated.
