017 Processor temperature out of
range
If the system detects that the processor
temperature sensor over heated, then this
message will appear.
018 NB temperature out of range If system detects NB temperature sensor over
heat, this message will appear.
040 Refresh timer test failed BIOS POST found that the refresh timer
hardware failed to pass the Refresh Retrace
Test.
041 Display memory test failed Memory test failed because the memory has
an issue
043 ~<INS> Pressed If you press Insert key during POST, this
message will appear
044 DMA Controller Error The system found some issues of the DMA
controller when performing diagnostic tests
for DMAC-1 & DMAC-2.
045 DMA-1 Error The system found some issues of the DMA
controller when do diagnostic tests for
DMAC-1
046 DMA-2 Error The system find some issues of the DMA
controller when do diagnostic tests for
DMAC-2
048 Password check failed If the user inputs an incorrect password more
than three times, then this error displays
information and the system continues to boot.

S.M.A.R.T. Command Failed Hard Disk S.M.A.R.T feature test failed,
indicating an issue with the hard disk.
POST related troubleshooting
Perform the following procedures when POST fails to run or displays error messages.
If the POST failure is during a routine boot up, check the following:
•
All external cables and power cables should be firmly plugged in.
•
The power outlet to which the server is connected and is working.
•
The server and monitor are both turned on. The power status LED indicator on the front panel
must be lit up green.
•
The monitor's contrast and brightness settings are correct.
•
All internal cables are properly connected and all boards are firmly seated.
•
The processor is fully seated in its socket.
•
The heat sink is properly installed on top of the processor.
•
All memory modules are properly installed.
