Hewlett Packard Enterprise cloud management
platform
The cloud management platform integrated in the HPE ProLiant Easy Connect Managed Hybrid servers
allows Hewlett Packard Enterprise to provide server monitoring and management services. During the
provision of services, the users and their IT administrators have visibility to the server state and can
control as many system settings as needed. The cloud management platform includes secure, remote
access to centralized and on-server interfaces to fulfill various IT functions.
Installation and Commissioning Consoles
The Installation and the Commissioning Consoles are used to configure and deploy a new HPE ProLiant
Easy Connect Managed Hybrid server.
The Installation Console is a local interface on the server that is used to set up the initial network
configuration and enter the Activation Code. Use this console to download the preselected server
configuration from the Hewlett Packard Enterprise cloud management platform. Any necessary system
updates are also downloaded and applied.
The Commissioning Console allows IT experts to prepare the configuration of a new server. The
configuration is held and verified in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise cloud management platform, ahead of
being downloaded to the server during installation.
Both these consoles are designed for IT experts familiar with server and network configuration. Using
these consoles requires an understanding of WAN, LAN, firewall, and domain controller configurations.

User Control Console
The User Control Console includes a dashboard on the operational state of the server, IT services, and
the network. The console provides the ability to add, modify, and disable user accounts, including
assigning users to groups or departments.
The User Control Console provides super-users or office administrators access to information on server
performance, the network, and the ability to perform simple user administration tasks. Taking control of
such tasks can accelerate day-to-day user-focused administration tasks, without requiring extensive IT
skills.
