Processors and Heatsinks
To remove a processor:
1.
Power down the server blade and remove it from the server blade enclosure. Refer to
“Server Blade Preparation” in this chapter.
2.
Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” in this chapter.
3.
Push down on the slate-blue heatsink locking levers on both sides of the heatsink and
then pull them out and up (1).
CAUTION:
The heatsink is not reusable and must be discarded if removed from the
processor after application.
4.
Remove the heatsink (2).
