Remove the keyboard (see

).

Remove the top cover (see
Top cover on page 33
).
Remove the hard drive:
1.
Lift up on the right side of the hard drive
(1)
until the hard drive rests at an angle.
2.
Slide the hard drive
(2)
to the right until it disconnects from the hard drive connector
(3)
.
3.
Remove the hard drive.
4.
If it is necessary to disassemble the hard drive, perform the following steps:
a.
Position the hard drive with the connector toward you.
b.
Remove the four Phillips PM3.0×3.73 screws
(1)
that secure the hard drive bracket to the
hard drive.
c.
Remove the hard drive bracket
(2)
from the hard drive.
The hard drive bracket, hard drive connector cable, and screws are available in the Hard
Drive Hardware Kit, spare part number 725626-001.
