Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Disconnect the cable from the battery (see

).

Remove the heat sink:

1.

Remove the eight Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (1) and then carefully lift the heat sink (2) to remove it from 
the system board.
