Chapter 3 - Using your USB Wireless LAN
This chapter demonstrates how to use the USB Wireless LAN device.
Using the Client Manager Software
If you installed the Client manager software, you can use the Client Manager to:
• Verify the quality of your wireless connection to the network
• View and modify the configuration settings of your USB Wireless LAN.
The Client Manager will start automatically every time you power up your computer.
The Client Manager icon will be displayed in the “System Tray” of your Windows task
bar at the bottom-right of your screen to indicate that the software is running.
The Client Manager icon can be used to actively monitor your wireless network. Click
the icon with the left mouse button to obtain a detailed status overview or the right
mouse button to access more options.The Client Manager icon also gives a visual
representation of the quality of your network connection.
Viewing and Modifying USB Wireless LAN Settings
To view or modify USB Wireless LAN parameters:
1 Right-click on the Client Manager icon on the Windows taskbar
2 From the menu, select Configuration Profile and then:
•Select Add/Edit Profile to add a new profile or to modify an existing profile, or
•Select an existing profile to select a profile without viewing or modifying the
settings
After you have selected another profile, the USB Wireless LAN will use the
selected profile to connect to the wireless network.
