Expanding the OmniBook

Installing RAM Expansion Modules

To remove a RAM expansion module

You’ll need a small Phillips screwdriver to complete this procedure.

 1. From the Start menu, shut down the OmniBook.

 2. Unplug the ac adapter, if present, and remove the battery.

 3. Remove the hard disk drive (see page 6-3).

 4. Slide the RAM cover about 3 mm toward the hard disk drive opening, then lift off

the cover.

 

 5. Release the two latches at the sides of the RAM board.

 

When you release the latches, the
free edge of the board pops up.
