RTC battery

Description

Spare part number

RTC battery

914384-001

Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the bottom cover (see

Bottom cover on page 25

Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 30

Remove the RTC battery:

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1).

Lift the Mylar from atop the battery (2).

Using a flat tool, pry the battery out of the computer (3).

Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery.
