Installing the System in a Rack

a. 

Align the lower edge of the template with the bottom of the rack (or the top 
of the previous rack component) and push the tabs in to hold the template in 
place. Be sure that the template is horizontal. 

 

b. 

Mark the required location of the rails on the rack. 

c. 

Repeat this procedure to mark the back of the rack, using the back of the 
template. 

2. 

Identify the left (L) and right (R) rack rails by markings stamped on the sheet 
metal. 

 

 

WARNING:  Unless you are converting the rails for use in round-hole racks, 
do not remove the load-bearing pins from the ends of the rack rails.
