8. Click Finished . A dialog box opens. Click the OK button at the dialog box.
Now you need to send the e-mail account settings to your Pocket PC.
9. To send the e-mail account settings to your Pocket PC, click POP Settings .
10. Click the desired e-mail account.
11. Click the
Send button. A dialog box opens informing you that the server will
configure your Pocket PC with the e-mail settings in order for you to retrieve
e-mail messages on your Pocket PC Inbox. Click the OK button at the dialog box.
Receiving E-mails
After you have successfully configured your Pocket PC Inbox, you will receive
e-mail messages from your personal and work e-mail accounts on your Pocket
PC. Your Pocket PC retrieves your e-mail messages from the accounts specified
during the configuration. You can adjust the retrieval timing using two methods.
The first method is automatic e-mail retrieval, where your Pocket PC retrieves your
messages each time they are received at the personal or work e-mail accounts. The
second method is scheduled e-mail retrieval, where your messages are retrieved on
a set schedule or time interval.
NOTE: If you delete an e-mail message and then tap Tools > Empty Deleted Items , it will be deleted
from your personal or work e-mail account.
Setting Automatic E-mail Retrieval
Perform the following to turn on or off automatic e-mail update:
1. From the Today screen, tap
Start > Inbox .
2. Tap Tools > My Email Trigger .
Select the
Enable automatic email updates
check box if you want your Pocket
PC to automatically update. Clear the check box if you DO NOT want your
Pocket PC to automatically update.
3. Tap
Save
when done.
Setting Scheduled E-mail Retrieval
Perform the following to adjust the scheduled update:
1. From the Today screen, tap
Start > Inbox
.
2. Tap Accounts > Accounts...
