Battery

Description

Spare part number

4-cell, 2.2-Ah battery

438518-001

Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.

Disconnect the power cord.

Remove the battery:

1.

Turn the computer upside down with the rear panel toward you.

2.

Slide the battery release latches 

(1)

 toward the inside of the computer. (The battery disengages

from the computer.)

3.

Slide the battery 

(2)

 straight back and remove it.

Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
