Installing the expander board 

To install the hard expander board: 

1.

 

Orient the PCIe card with the riser guide slot and push in the direction of the arrow until the PCIe card 
is secured in the PCIe card connector. 

 

2.

 

Install the PCIe assembly. Press down gently to seat it in place. 

 

3.

 

Install the access panel (on page 38).

Removing the hard disk drive backplane 

To remove the HDD backplane: 

1.

 

Power down the server and detach all of the power cords from the power supplies.
