A serial n um b er lab el is attac hed to eac h HP 85108 system cabinet. This lab el is lo cated on
the fron t of the cabinet in the low er left corner, and has the serial n um b er of y our system
prin ted on it.
Figure 1-2 sho ws a t ypical serial n um b er lab el. Ther serial n um b er has t w o parts. The rst
four digits follo w ed b y a letter comprise the serial n um b er prex. The last v e digits form the
sequen tial sux that is unique to eac h instrumen t (or system). The con ten ts of this man ual
apply directly to systems ha ving the same serial n um b er prex, or higher, as listed on the
Title P age of this man ual under the heading Serial Num b ers.

HP 85108 Pulsed-RF System Options
The following options are a v ailable with the HP 85108 system.
Option 001
This test set option add IF switching capabilit y to allo w a total of four test sets to b e
connected to the HP 8510 at the same time. The test set in use is selectrd from the HP 8510
fron t panel. The 20 Mhz IF signal is transmitted from the selected test set through the option
001 test set(s) to the net w ork analyzer. IF switching is p erformed automatically b y the option
001 test set(s), without reconnections. F or more information refer to Con trolling Multiple T est

Option 010
This option adds time domain capabilit y to the HP 8510 net w ork analyzer.
