SIM

NOTE:

This section applies only to computer models with WWAN capability. If there is a SIM inserted

in the SIM slot, it should be removed before disassembling the computer. Be sure the SIM is reinserted
in the SIM slot after reassembling the computer.

Before removing the SIM, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC Adapter from the computer.

4.

Remove the battery (see 

Battery on page 46

).

Remove the SIM:

1.

Press in on the SIM 

(1)

. (The module is partially ejected from the SIM slot.)

2.

Remove the SIM 

(2)

 from the SIM slot.

Reverse this procedure to install the SIM.
