Error Types

Error numbers are categorized by type as shown in Table 5-1. The error
codes that can be generated by the HP 53151A/152A/153A Counters are
listed in Table 5-2.

Table 5-1. Error Types

The first error described in each class (for example, -100, -200, -300,
-400) is a “generic” error.

No Error

The :SYST:ERR? response +

0, “No error”

indicates that there are no

errors in the Counter’s error queue. The error queue is empty when every
error in the queue has been read (:SYST:ERR? query) or the queue was
cleared by power-on or *CLS.
