Precautions

This

paragraph

describes

precautions

for

using

the

HP

41802A

to

prevent

from

damage

on

the

HP

41802A

and

your

device

under

test

(DUT).

Anti-static

Precautions

Caution

The

HP

41802A

is

sensitive

to

electrostatic

discharge

(ESD).

The

following

must

be

adhered

to

when

using

the

HP

41802A.

Do

NO

T

touch

the

center

conductor

of

the

BNC

connector

of

the

HP

41802A.

Do

NO

T

touch

the

pin

of

the

probe

which

is

connected

to

the

HP

41802A.

The

probe

input

circuit

is

highly

susceptible

to

damage

by

ESD

introduced

through

the

input

connector

.

Eliminate

ESD

on

your

body

.

W

ear

a

snug-tting

ground

strap

that

is

connected

to

earth

ground

through

a

high

resistance

.
