701 for the first time, practice the following procedure using a
discarded spoke until you are familiar with this device before working on neces-
sary spoke.

Connect the plug of the AC adapter into the socket of the main unit, and
connect the power plug of the AC adapter to the outlet .

Through the spoke into the hole of the spoke
holder.
Tighten the spoke using the hex wrench pro-
vided at the position that the spoke bumps
against the plate. Always tighten the hex
wrench while holding the lever with a hand.

Cut the spoke to the desired length.
If cutting edge appears as indicated by NG, reform
the tip of spoke with a file as indicated by OK.
There is no problem to cut on the middle of exist-
ing threads.

Attach the die
head applicable
to the spoke to
be worked on
the body.
Secure the die
head using the
2.5 mm hex
wrench aligning
to the cavity on
the shaft.
