Use in the field
1. Connecting the machine, see Connecting.
2. Unfolding the machine, see Unfolding. Check
the pre-load of the wings on the pressure
gauge.
3. Adjusting or checking the working depth o the
cultivation tools using the aluminium clips,
see Cultivation tools .
4. Adjusting the drilling depth using the alu-
minium clips, see Coulter.
5. Twin hopper: Fold the platform and steps
hydraulically.
6. Adjusting the fan speed, see Pneumatics.
7. Matching the harrows to the field conditions.
NOTE
Please note:
•
To control the seed refer to the operating
instructions for the E-Manager
•
The machine must be in horizontal position
when used in the field.
•
The wings and middle section of the machine
must form a line.
For this purpose, adjust the preload pressure,
if necessary, the settings of the axle and the
number of adapter plates on the flanges of
the support wheel booms, see chapter As-
sembly groups.
The settings influence one another. After each
change of a parameter the effects on the plac -
ing quality in the field must be checked and
correct as required.

Do not drive backwards with the machine
lowered.
The components have only been designed for
forward travel in the field and may be damaged
when reversing.
Working speed
The speed depends on field conditions, soil
type, harvest residues, seed, seed quantity and
other factors.

Operate somewhat slower under difficult con -
ditions!
Headland
¾
Lift out the machine and move the coulter
upward.
¾
After turning lower the coulter approx. 2 - 5 m
in front of the seedbed with pressure at the
appropriate fan speed. The seed requires
some time to flow from the metering unit to
the coulters.
NOTE
When drilling reduce the seed just before lifting
out the machine.
Otherwise the fan output would be excessively
reduced and the hoses might get blocked.
Pressure gauge
The pressures for various machine functions
can be checked or monitored on the pressure
gauges on the hopper:
