NavMate Navigation System
The options are described as follows:
• Position Adjustment – Select this option to display a map showing an arrow
icon indicating your vehicle’s current position. If you need to change the
icon’s position, use the or and or buttons to adjust. Press to
return to the
Main Menu screen. Destinations will be calculated from the
new position.
• Set Current Location – Select this option to reset the current location of the
vehicle by defining a specific location, just as you would select a destination.
Although here, you start with a screen called
Select Origin instead.
You might want to use these options to review a planned route of a
destination you will try at a different time; so in a sense, you would “fake” your
current location.

For entering/selecting your current location, refer to “Selecting a
Destination” on page 21 for descriptions of these options. Also, refer to “List
Mode vs. Spell Mode” on page 16 for more details. The mechanisms are exactly
the same; only you’ll be defining a current location rather than a destination.
After selecting a new “current location,” press . Then, press the
button and the Map Display screen will indicate the new location you have
set. Future route instructions will be calculated from this location until the
vehicle is driven again. When you drive, the system will automatically
determine your actual location.
