Safety Precautions
This section provides precautions to enable you to use the product safely and correctly and to
prevent injury and damage. The terms of DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION indicate the
degree of imminency and hazardous situation. Read the precautions carefully as it contains
important safety messages.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK
Opening the rear cover may cause electric shock while supplying electric power. Do not open the rear
cover without disconenecting the main power.
ELECTRIC SHOCK
Maintain ground to avoid electric shock. Do not ground the unit to a gas pepe or to an indirect ground,
such as another piece of the equipment.
If there is a possible of lighting damage, install lighting arresters both at the instrument and receive
device.
ELECTRIC SHOCK
Make sure that no electric power is supplied to the instrument before staring this work.
CAUTION
FIRE
Do not put water, metal chip or any foreign substances inside the rear cover. The unit may be shorted
catch fire.
• Operating the instrument using a voltage out of the rated range may cause it to malfunction. Be
sure to check the voltage of the power supply. Also make sure that the fluctuation of the power
supply voltage is within the range of 22.5 V to 30 V.
• Use a balanced type shield cable.
• If there is a possible of lighting damage, install an arrester in two place between the HP-100 and
the distributor.
